I've lived in the Upper Valley for most of my life. Happily married with a foster son who I adore.
Married father of one, school administrator interested in books, art, and golf. My wife and I recently moved to the upper valley and are interested in meeting people with similar family values and education.
Native but also have been around. Know how isolated you can get in the UV if you don't get away from here for a while. I went to Buffalo for 12 years and turned into a socialist feminist dyke. Yikes! Sarah Palin you owe your opportunities to the likes of me and my friends! (Trust me, she wasn't what we had in mine when we working in the 70's.) So looking for like minded people. Really enjoy reading the uvScene(where did it go??) And love listening to DJ Trolld & Droid. Miss WXND. I do the garden in front of the TipTop as part of the Hartford Garden Friends. Stop and say hi. Work evenings and would love to find people for lunch or morning walks. Rhu
Grew up in Hanover, went away to live/go to school in Western MA for the past 10 years... and now I'm somehow back in Hanover. Livin' with my mom. (Mad sexy, right?)
Anyways... I like to knit, go dancing, and waste time sitting around in cafes. I'm a huge dork. I <3 vegetables. If it snows properly this winter, I would love to have someone to go snowboarding with.
That is all for now.
Hitting my one year anniversary of moving up here for a job. Interested in starting a supper club with people who like to cook, want good conversation, and to meet more people in the area.

I'm a composer and a computer programmer, and I just moved to Hanover from Brooklyn, NY to start a grad program. Help me escape from the College Vortex? There must be some creative weirdos out there, I just know it.

GUESS WHAT GUYZ!? I'm 22 and just graduated from college and moved the Upper Valley area about two months ago. I'm looking to see what all the hullabaloo is about. I keep hearing murmurs of cool stuff going on, but I seem to miss.
I love to bike, bake bread, screen print, and draw. I don't like eggplant. Ever
Right now I've got a gig teaching bookmaking and screen printing classes and I LOVE IT TO DEATH! Before some of the serious cold weather sets in, I want to get some serious ass biking in. I'm just saying!
My bike's name is Scamander. He's a '72 Vista Islena, and he's quite the charmer! His old bones rattle and clattle, though, so you can hear him comin' a mile away.

I've had some ruff times growing up in Vermont boredom leads to isolation leads to
mental illness but I have pulled through and im ready to live life again, I always just wanted to hop into the car and drive to random insane cities like NYC, BOSTON, SPRINGFIELD MASS, NEW HAVEN CT.
I like to explore the more active and gothic type spiritual side of life. I like Big dark creepy places turned into dance clubs where you can barley see peoples faces, and the music and the light shows are life changing. I don't like to flirt or mingle much I feel that it leads to gossip, drama, jelousy, and unaware minds.
I moved to white river junction recently and have been working on mixes to present to every one everywhere. There is a charming and sweet young man under all that darkness, all it takes to get to know him is acceptance and deep deep deep understanding of secret worlds hidden with in every day life.
-Currently Waiting to establish indie record label "Tortured Heart Records", as well as a Gothic/Industrial/Dark Wave/EBM/Hard Dance/Hard Techno/Drum N Bass clubbing night called "Arcane"

Hi...:) My name is Annie. I've lived in the area for a few years now, but I've just recently realized that I want to stay in the area..
I work at DHMC and live in White River.
Just looking to meet new people, get out there more, and network a little bit.
I'm a newly-single 27 year old with two small children.
I've been in the general area for three years, but just moved to to VT side of the river.
I'm hoping to make new friends and get to know the area a little better.
I cook, knit, read voraciously, and think too much. I'm into Buddhism. I'm nice.
After 7 years of wandering the world (MA, College, The Army, Iraq, Kuwait, Quatar, Ireland etc...) I'm back in the UV and trying to figure out what to do here... any suggestions?

I just moved back to the Upper Valley and am seeking a part time gig to play my electric bass. I've been playing a musical instrument since I was three or so, piano lessons when I was twelve until my knuckles were cracked with a ruler by my teacher when I was thirteen. Even played drums with a band onstage, but was fired after the show because I sucked. Picked up the bass when I was 16 and stuck with it. Some of my musical influences include the Byrds, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Temptations, the Four Tops, Ricky Skaggs, Carlos Santana, Flying Buritto Brothers, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Peter Rowan, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Pat Flynn, John Cowan, David Grisman, Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia. Through the years I played primarily country rock music, but I played bluegrass in Virginia and Maryland for awhile. Performed at the world famous Alexandria "Birchmere" with the "Last Straw Band" opening for the Buzby Brothers. I have had the opportunity to accompany great banjo players such as Mike Munford and Ned Luberecki, mandolin players Dan Curtis and Akira Otsuka, and famous guitarist David Grier. I'm a solid bass player who is tasteful, nothing fancy, play by ear and have great timing. Have plenty of equipment if required. My bluegrass rig is a David EdenEden WT400 "Traveler" Bass Amplifier and The David Eden D210XLT cabinet. I play a 1973 four string Jazz bass or a 1976 Koontz-Thurston custom made bass with headstock that appears to be a banjo headstock.
I'm 22 years old. Graduated from Castleton this past May. Originally from central NY, I moved to New Hampshire to work as a sports reporter. Don't really no anyone in the area. Just looking to get to know people.
I live in San Marcos texas I'll be moving in the spring to the Hartford area.I like old cars, computers and music.I have four dogs and a cat who will be moving with me.Also I like bicycles and have a collection of five bikes that will be moving with me.I'd rather bike than drive.
Currently play soccer and volleyball in the UV.. looking to learn to kiteboard... I'm mesmerized by it! If you're interested in improving your health naturally, or would like to know how to take care of your body without medications.. that's what I do and love... ask away!
A single mom with 2 beautiful and funny girls, 6 and 3. Claremont resident, work in Hanover.
Enjoy photography, exercise, shopping, reading, meeting new people and galavanting with the ones that I already know - music is an important facet of my life.

I moved to Lebanon NH before my Freshman year of HS. Graduated Lebanon High School in 1989.
I graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH with a BFA in Graphic Design in 1994. I met my wife Sara there, We were married in August of 1995, and will be celebrating or 13th anniversary this summer. We live in Windsor, VT.
I spent 10 years as a print & web Graphic Designer at Nomad Communications in Norwich, VT.
After 10 years at Nomad Communications, and looking for new challenges, I took a position as the Senior Web Designer for the Human Capital Institute in Wilder, VT. It's been a fantastic change and I'm really enjoying the work.
We have a son, born Dec. 02 named Jack, and a golden retriever named Luna.
I spend my spare time working on and offroading my old Land Cruiser, obsessing about my fantasy football team, and enjoying time with my family and friends.

I've been called "one of those guys who cares about everything" but secretly I don't really (just most stuff). I enjoy eating mostly oats, lentils, and rice; I eat nothing with lungs (so I'm almost a vegetarian, except that fish, eggs, and milk don't have lungs as far as I know). I appear to put up with my work because I have to, although secretly I enjoy it. However, I would rather be outside: running, hiking, biking, paddling, skiing, whatever. I will never tire of good food and drink, good company, birdsong, mountains, new snow, or old friends.
I am 23 years old (will be 24 in September) and moved to Hanover last summer. I went to college in New London and decided to in the area for my job. Most of my friends from college moved home and I am looking to get out there and meet some new people. I work in Lebanon at a weekly newspaper as a reporter and that keeps me very busy.
im up in exeter new hampshire. recently moved bak from fort lauderdale. lovee to c phil. lost my license. need to meet people for rides. i got gas money
!HAH!
I take my coffee black. I revel in simplicity. History excites me. I have only one dimple. My biggest passion in life is rowing. I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a godmother, and a friend. My eyes are really green. I go out of my way to step on crunchy leaves. Spelling and grammatical errors are two of my pet peeves. I despise ketchup. I can't live without chapstick and I prefer it to be a yummy flavor. I believe that cottage cheese goes with almost anything. I eat oatmeal every single day. I am rarely without music playing. I have a slight obsession with chewing gum. I secretly wish vampire slayers and tomb raiders actually existed. When I hear O.A.R. I close my eyes and dance like no one is watching. I'm a thinker, dreamer, and seeker of adventure and people who don't suck. I want to climb a really big tree and not come down. You could easily call me a hopeless romantic.
Hailing from the backwoods of Vermont's Connecticut River Valley, Pariah Beat plays a punk infused blend of blues, country and old time roots music. The Beat inhabits a realm where Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, the Pogues, Tom Waits, Hank Williams, Chuck Berry, Django Reinhardt, the Clash, Elvis Presley and Robert Johnson can stand together without contradiction. We play down and dirty party music - rowdy, rootsy, and serious fun. Described as "a dirt-encrusted buzzsaw from the past, moving forward with the weight of a freight train behind them," we take that sentiment to heart, rooting the tunes we play and the stories we tell firmly in the now. We are not a gimmick, and our music is not reenactment.

I'm a mom of three great kids (DD8, DS5, DS3) and have been married to a wonderful man since 1997. I've spent all of my life in NH and VT, and think it is a great place to raise a family. Professionally, I have spent my time at non-profit organizations in the public health and higher education fields. My hobbies and interests are pretty diverse, and include: scrapbooking, blogging, sleeping (LOL -- I'm a mom of 3, what do you expect?), community activism, and trying my best to budget my money, time and energy as efficiently as I can.

Me: New resident of the Upper Valley, lured here by the allure of prestige and pedigree found at that certain college up the street. SBF, never married, no kids, dog owner, recent spinning class devotee, Jeep driver, lover of artisan breads, Shiraz and the lushness that NH and VT to offer. Frequent dater but haven't found the right man (men?) yet. Sophisticated tastes with a hip-hop/urban flavor.
Interests: Art (sculpture, glass, oil painting and photography) and a secret interest in learning to play an instrument.
Single, 27-year-old female, been in the area 6 months... looking to find friends that are outgoing, friendly, like to hang out and do things!
I love to try new things. I love food, wine, beer, hiking, snowboarding, hockey... I love a lot of things.
I've tried to show up to a couple of events, but have not had much luck with other people showing up. So, if you might want to hang out sometime, please befriend me and we'll start there!
